WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER LIVED
Review Date: 9/25/2008 Reviewer: Anonymous
PLEASE BEWARE if you are thinking of renting here!! I have lived in many apartments in my life, and I have never hated a place so much. Fist off, when you sign your lease it will be with a woman named Angie, and to be honest she was not exactly the nicest person I have ever met. She is very unprofessional and rude. I guess this should have been a sign from the minute we signed the lease! Angie will go over the lease agreement but beware of this, I honestly suggest you bring a tape recorder to the lease signing meeting because they will twist there words around as soon as you sign your last name! They told us there was a $400 pet deposit for dogs and that they did not have any breed restrictions, and that they charge an extra $40 a month on top of your rent. Then she said that if we had a cat they don’t charge, because dogs do more damage of course. At the time, we did not have a pet, nor could we afford one. My fiancé and I are a young couple just starting out, and things are stressful and tough. I have also battled with depression for many years, and one day when I was down, my fiancé asked if I would like to go to the pound and look at kittens because we couldn’t afford to pay the steep costs for a dog. I was so excited! So, we went to the pound and adopted a cute little kitten, and honestly she has really cheered me up and taken a lot of stress off of my mind. Until last week, when I got a call for Erin who is the manager, and she tells me they will be charging us the $400 deposit as well as the $40 a month starting October 1. Honestly, I was so upset because that’s not what they told us upon move in. When we adopted her the pound even called and asked the manager if they allowed cats on the property and asked about charges. We were only trying to do the humane thing, by adopting a poor little kitten they were just going to put to sleep if no one wanted her. So now, we are forced to give away our little kitten who does absolutely no damage to anything in the apartment. I have been upset and crying for days now, she became a part of her family, and now we have to give her back to the pound where they will probably kill her because we do not have the extra money to pay these outrageous charges!! My fiancé and I had a meeting with Erin the Manager and she was very unprofessional as well, she kept interrupting us and raising her voice. Finally after I cried in front of her, she said she would talk to her manager and ask if this could be waived, of course it was not. I have called her manager 3 times and left 3 voicemails. I have yet to get a call returned. These people are so rude and so insensitive to your needs! They way these people do business is utterly disgusting! They need to stick to what there employees say. The staff does not think of you as a customer, they think of you as a paycheck. Erin the manager said to us that they have two clients, the client who owns the property and the client who rents an apartment. She basically told us the client who owns is more important! Well I don’t think the clients whom own the property should be happy with all of these negative reviews coming from residents. I am just writing this review because I think you need to be well aware of what you will be getting yourself into the place is a total dump inside too!! Old fixtures that have never been replaced, it’s so gross! SAVE YOURSELF the hassle and go check out Pacific Pointe or Seacrest!! WAY WAY WAY WAY Nicer!! |
