Apartment Review for Pinnacle At Talega - San Clemente, CA

Just to start it off so you all know and judge from the start if your gonna continue reading or not, I'm a marine. The one thing I noticed in my eight years in the marines is that alot of marines are straight out of high school and are new to living a life away from their parents. Another thing I noticed is that marines are ppl just like everyone else and are not machines. A suggestion to those who are looking for a place to rent and live should do the proper research before making a commitment. Thinking that the area is nice and looks rich means that your gonna live nice is the wrong kind of thinking. Yes there are party people, not all of them are marines that live in these apartments. Yes there are people who own dogs and dont bother to clean up after them, once again not all of them are marines. Yes there are loud neighbors, not all of them are marines. You ask how do I know? Because my neighbors downstairs are noisy, my neighbor next door to me by the stairwell has kids that draw on everything with markers and chalk, and the neighbors on the other side of me have a dog that they let pee at the bottom of the stairwell that I smell when I go to work every morning and not a single one of them are marines. Does it bother me to the point that I cant stand living in one place anymore? Nope, because everywhere that I have lived has been the same way. I lived in ghettos, I've lived in the rich neighborhoods and I've lived in the common areas of pretty much all over the US. I had a life before the marine corps and had civilian neighbors that were completely rude. I can understand why the management is the way they are, because they have to deal with the people that complain and then deal with the people that refuse to cooperate. Most of the maintenance workers I see are belittled and looked down upon. I would imagine if people came to you all disgruntled and rude to you, you would have an attitude too. This place is not a bad place to live, granted it's not the best either. Most of these reviews are completely negative with very few positive remarks. I'm content with my neighbors and the parking. The issues I'd like to see fixed that are common problems: * Gates are not always functional, mainly because people try to force them open when they cant get the clicker to work or when they dont have a clicker with them. * Garbage Dumpsters are few in number and fill up quickly which usually means that there is gonna be trash overflowing from the dumpsters. * Parking is hit or miss during the weekdays and I usually find myself parking outside the gate because it's closer then having to park on the otherside of the lot from where I live. (I've noticed a few couples having more then 2 vehicles parked in the lot) * People speeding down the road is pretty common as well, and I've been tempted to wait outside for them to come back so I can scream and yell at them. (children play along that street and it's only a matter of time till someone runs a kid over!) Even local law enforcement that live in the apartments commonly speed down the road as well. Thats about the extent of it. I have no other problems other then what I listed. The reason I posted about the marines is because when someone has something negative about a paticular marine or group (sounds to me a paticular age group), we get refrenced as a whole by the use of "The Marines". I dont party in my apartment, I dont smoke in my apartment. I dont hardly ever watch TV so I'm generally quiet, quiet enough to hear everything else going on downstairs, next door and outside. So when someone says something negative about "The Marines" I take it as an attack against me. I dont live roudy but if I'm being blamed for something I'm not involved in, Then I might as well do what "The Marines" are doing to make it worth the accusation. I understand that there are the childish ones that are still growing up, I just dont like the fact that other peoples opinion about one or two marines effect me because of the refrence used. I'll do what I can to correct the situation, but all the negativity just makes me want to leave them as they are.
